Vertical and horizontal curves enhance the absolutely precise running performance of the textile conveyor belt. The CONTI® PRO production technology guarantees that this precision is reliably provided by the belt, which is manufactured in ten separate sections. Continuous vulcanization on the double band unit ensures compliance with the thickness tolerances to within less than one millimeter.

The ContiTech Conveyor Belt Group does more than just manufacture the belts. Its scope of service also includes everything from advice and planning support and the complex calculation and design of units through to installation of the belt and startup. ContiCom software is used to determine the design of the belt. The software calculates the traction force prevailing in the curves of the seven sections under all operating conditions. The requisite tilt in the horizontal curves is determined on this basis to ensure reliable belt tracking.

During work the conveyor is completely covered to prevent damage to animals and men. Mounted high enough it lets animals pass underneath and a tunnel, 50m long, helps to traverse it without danger. Its use avoids many otherwise necessary truck transports through the sensitive and protected landscape of the langfast hills.
