System Simulation

Different simulation and analysis programs deliver the specs for the system's configuration. We calculate the engine suspension system with "Generic Energy", a multibody simulation program used primarily with models specifically created for the auto industry. The results allow us to say something about:

  • idle performance
  • acceleration at comfort-relevant points
  • optimum mount positions
  • vibration isolation
  • maximum mount loads
  • requisite hydraulic damping (where relevant)

Design and Simultaneous Engineering

In the development and design phase, we work with software standards for the automotive and supplier industry. This allows for data exchange and simultaneous engineering with customers and other partners.

Component Analysis

We use simulation tools and FEM packages for dimensioning and optimization. They make it possible to calculate all the key parameters of mount components already on the development model. In tackling special jobs, we resort to software programs developed in-house in addition to commercially available programs.

Wide-ranging preliminary studies can be conducted, such as:

  • Calculation of dynamic spring characteristics
  • Natural vibration of sprung body
  • Life expectancy analysis
  • Analysis of creeping tendency
  • Thermal load
  • Strength of metal connection parts
  • Natural shapes and natural frequency

Component and Product Inspection

With a wide range of test rigs – in many cases equipped with tempering devices – we conduct functional tests covering all relevant benchmark data in terms of test force and test travel as well as frequency. We realize biaxial test sequences and conduct operational load simulations with a 3D test machine.

Vehicle Testing

For especially comprehensive tests, we use additional capacities within the corporation, e.g. the Contidrom test track, with its noise analysis tracks, comfort and handling courses, and facilities for NVH engineering with psychoacoustics lab, 4-poster, and dynamic power analyzer.
