Hoses and Hose Lines for SCR Technology in Passenger Cars
Advanced development has made SCR systems for cars even more sophisticated than those used for trucks. This is necessary because cars have less space available for the carbamide tank, the system aggregates and the line package. A technical challenge in the case of cars is that the hose lines between the AdBlue tank, the pump and injection must fit into a very tight space and usually run parallel to the fuel lines. This requires specified geometries, with very tight bending radii in some cases. Molded hoses are the only answer here. Work is currently also under way on plastics-based alternatives!
Overview of the Advantages of the ContiTech Hose Line Module for SCR Technology:
- Temperature range from -40°C to +85°C (with peaks of up to +100°C)
- Prevents the carbamide solution from freezing when in operation
- Hose heats up and carbamide solution thaws quickly after standing for a longer period of time in the cold
- Integrated heating wires further improve the mechanical properties of the hose
- Thanks to tight bending radii and small outer diameters, the lines require less space
- Particularly long hose line solutions possible
- Available as molded hose for confined spaces up to a max. length of 6m.
