High-Tech in the Service of Environmental Protection

From April 19 to 25, the bauma is the meeting place for construction and mining experts from around the world.

In its booth there (303/400 in hall B2), ContiTech is showcasing technical innovations, eco-friendly, energy efficient solutions and contributions to greater cost-efficiency. Conveyor belt solutions that help save energy and reduce CO2 emissions, and SCR lines for clean construction machine engines will be on display.

In Munich the ContiTech Conveyor Belt Group will be presenting a cold-resistant conveyor belt with anti-stick properties as well as conveyor belt technology with an energy-optimized cover that can reduce the amount of energy a conveyor belt system consumes by up to 20 percent. Another topic of discussion is that of generating energy during downhill transport. It makes systems more economical and reduces the environmental impact. “These days technical solutions alone no longer spell market success,” says Hans-Jürgen Duensing, head of the ContiTech Conveyor Belt Group. “That’s why we keep an eye on providing for sustainable operation in all our developments. Our conveyor belt solutions can help to eliminate large quantities of CO2.”

The Matador brand, with which ContiTech is no. 1 in East-Central Europe, will focus its presentation in Munich on its high quality standard in research and development as well as in the production of conveyor belts.

ContiTech Fluid Technology is presenting two new products: The expanded selection of hose line modules for hydraulic applications and 2nd generation SCR technology hose line modules that keep construction machine engines cleaner. “Our SCR hose lines for exhaust gas purification systems in construction machines contribute to cleaner air. That is why they are in such high demand,” says Günter Frölich, head of ContiTech’s Fluid Technology unit, emphasizing its environmental outlook.
