ContiTech at Auto Expo India
The car of the future represents a huge challenge for automobile manufacturers and their suppliers due to demands for greater economy, better environmental compatibility, and requirements for it to be more efficient and lower priced at the same time. As an experienced partner to the automotive industry, ContiTech is continually working on innovations for sustainable mobility, thus creating technological solutions enabling visions to become realities. Some of those new developments will be presented at Auto Expo India.
Take the turbocharger, for example. ContiTech has developed a flexible hybrid hose that for the first time satisfies all requirements for the upcoming generations of highly-supercharged engines equally. ContiTech has also come up with a heatable EPDM-based line module especially for selective catalytic reduction (SCR) technology. This heatable AdBlue hose system enables vehicles to comply with the stringent emission directives of the future.
Take drive belts, as another example: The CONTI® UNIPOWER TOUGH GRIP is ContiTech’s new V-ribbed belt with textile surface for automotive applications, greatly minimizing noise buildup. Moreover, the new CONTI® DIESEL RUNNER timing belt is designed for lifetime use in common rail engines.
Another example is air suspension: Level control of air spring systems guarantees constant spring travel in commercial vehicles. Comfort and safety are thus maintained, independently from the load.
Automotive interiors are another example: Benecke-Kaliko, one of the ContiTech companies, places special focus on sustainability when designing its automotive interior materials by ensuring that they are both climate-friendly and health-friendly. When it comes to the reduction of fuel consumption, Benecke-Kaliko places emphasis on the development of light materials.
ContiTech at Auto Expo India: 5th to 11th January, 2010, New Delhi, Hall 12, Booth 22.
