For us at ContiTech, the question of sustainable business operations and activities is fundamental not only to our corporate strategy but also to our value-added chain.
Engineering Green Value is the guiding principle behind our unique commitment to sustainability. It is also fundamental to our special technological expertise in developing and applying ContiTech products. Because for us, environmental and climate protection and sustainable business activities for the good of present and future generations are always top of the agenda. Our goal is to contribute towards a balance of interests between companies, people and the environment. Today and in the future, the desire to create genuine added value through responsible activities will continue to be what drives us. Ultimately, we want to enable ContiTech to rise successfully to the long-term challenges of the future.

This brochure summarises ContiTech’s current position in terms of social, ecological and economic sustainability. In it, we outline the additional skills our business units have gained through their expertise in rubber and plastics technologies. We also explain how we work with our partners from industry to apply their specialist knowledge and resolve some of the urgent problems facing our society – today and across future generations.
In addition, we focus on our employees, explaining why they in particular make our work truly successful. We also look at how our far-reaching, global HR development concepts have been implemented at a local level to ensure our team makes a lasting contribution to technologies of global importance. Our production processes are eco-friendly and energy-efficient. And together with our partners, we create products that are not only innovative but also easy on resources, long-lasting, low-maintenance and low-waste – products that make our environment a better and safer place for people to live in. Most of the time, they meet legal requirements long before these have actually come into force.
We are convinced that, with our products and technologies, we make an outstanding contribution to climate and environmental protection while at the same time increasing the value of the work our staff do. Moreover, our products and technologies are helping us secure the long-term future of our company – through close partnerships with representatives from major branches of industry and key future industries.
In this brochure, we also tell you some of our Green Stories – stories about some of our achievements so far. They describe some of the far-reaching innovations our business units have made. And like any good story, they are “to be continued…”. We explain our accomplishments to date and outline how our next steps will take us towards an enhanced quality of life, more sensitive dealings with the environment and its resources, and greater well-being for our fast-growing society.
